Hello, nice people. Today, we take you to the sunny shores of Greece with a wonderfully soothing and easy-to-make Beef Stifado, all thanks to Instant Pot’s charm! This dish is full of warm, aromatic spices and soft beef, making it a perfect, hearty dish that is gentle on the belly and full of flavors. Let’s get some cooking. Fruit: 4-6 servings Preparation time: 15 minutes Cooking time: 40 minutes ** What you will need:** 2 pounds beef stew meat, cut into 1-inch cubes
2 tablespoons olive oil 2 large onions, thinly
sliced4 cloves garlic, minced
1 (14.5 ounce) canned tomato cubes
cut, drained
1 cup of beef soup
2 tablespoons tomato paste
1 teaspoon dried oregano
1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1/2 teaspoon ground cloves
Salt and freshly ground black pepper to taste
Optional side dish: Fresh parsley, finely chopped
Let’s cook.
Wear the beef: Dry the beef cubes with a paper towel. This will help them to make a nice sear! Add the olive oil to the Instant Pot and select “Sauté” If it is hot, add the
beef in batches and fry on all sides. Don’t overcast the pot. Remove the beef and set aside.
Often the Onion: A put sliced onions in the same container (no need to clean!). Sprinkle them until tender and lightly golden brown, about 5-7 minutes. Then add the ground garlic and cook for another minute, until fragrant. Build the flavor: Stir in the diced tomatoes (juice), beef soup, and tomato paste. Scrape the bottom of the dish to loosen the tanned pieces – there’s the taste!
** Spice It Up:** Add the dried
oregano, cinnamon and cloves. Give a good stir to combine all the amazing aromas.Bring it all together: Take it back to the tanned beef to the Instant Pot. Season with salt and pepper. Make sure the beef is mostly immersed in the liquid.
Pressure Cook Perfection: Attach the lid to the Instant Pot and set the valve to “Seal” Select “Manual” or “Cooking” at high pressure for 40 minutes.
Natural release: After the cooking time has expired, leave the pressure naturally for at least 15-20 minutes. This is important for keeping beef extra tender! After natural release, gently move the valve to the “Vent” to release the remaining pressure.
Serve and enjoy! Careful open the lid and gently stir your Stifado. The beef should be incredibly gentle, and the sauce should be rich and fragrant. Serve hot, or with fluffy rice or crispy bread to absorb the delicious sauce. A sprinkled fresh parsley will give a pleasant effect!
This Greek Beef Stifado is like a warm hug in a bowl. It is easy to make, wonderfully satisfying, and a real taste of Mediterranean comforts. We hope you will be happy to prepare and share this delicious dish with your loved ones! Let me know when you try it. (.
